It’s that time of year again. Among the chaos of the day (cooking, baking, setting things up, cleaning) I was able to get these photos edited to put them up!
We’re having a very low-key Thanksgiving this year. There are a lot of reasons, some of them being sick family members, some of them being that we are tired! But as always, we want to make it special.
We did a woodland theme this year. I was so excited to fully decorate for the first time by myself! My mom helped with a lot of it and put together the beautiful flower arrangement. The elements we wanted to include were wood, foraged details (pinecones, evergreen sprigs, little pumpkins) and warmth from the candles. We are truly bringing the outdoors in this year! I’m very proud of our little set up and can’t wait until everyone comes to see it. It’s the little touches that make a difference, I think.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. This year has been hard, but we can make the most of it. Even if you aren’t have a traditional Thanksgiving this year, take some time to reflect on the good that has happened. There is always a silver lining. Finding the good in the world is the most optimistic thing we can do right now.
