About Me

Welcome to a vast landscape of rich imagery and words in the wind //

My name is Heather, and I’m inspired by the moors.

I’m a 23 year old writer, photographer, art director, and coffee drinker. Because of unfortunate circumstances, I can only drink decaf, but I make it work for myself.

I read as much as I can. In order to be a good writer, I must read everything possible, so that is what I try to do. I have started a little personal library for myself that I’m very proud of, but I also get a lot of my reading material from the library. I was a librarian for some time, and libraries are important to me.

I live in New England, and while I think it might be one of the most beautiful places on Earth, there are many other beautiful places that I would like to see. Autumn is my favorite season, but as each season comes, it convinces me that it is also my favorite. I am an acute lover of nature and animals. I like to imagine that I am Beatrix Potter, visiting her animal friends every day and getting lost in their adventures. I live in the quiet forest where there is silence but there is also noise — the sounds of birds in the morning and the footsteps of deer at night. I am a fan of hygge and everything that comes with it — warm blankets, comforting treats with tea, and reading with many candles lit. When I venture out of my humble little hole at home, I try to experience beautiful things, like art museums, old libraries, and mansions where you can roam around the gardens.

I am an extrovert, but I am forever trying to tell myself to stop talking, to listen. Listening and observing are important parts of being a writer. Besides writing and reading, I also take photos and paint, which takes up just about all of my spare time.

Welcome to my online space. I hope you feel safe and comforted while reading my posts, like you are conversing with an old friend.
